We are proud to announce that Rheon Medical, in partnership with Coat-X, has won the Swiss Medtech award 2020 for their eyeWatch system; the world’s first non-invasive pressure equalization system expected to revolutionize the treatment of glaucoma.
This coveted award was presented during the Swiss Medtech day on 21 September 2020 with over 500 conference participants and 27 applicants. The jurors evaluated the innovations in a two-stage process under the chairmanship of Professor Mirko Meboldt from ETH Zurich. Criteria included patient benefits, contribution to improvements in healthcare, pioneering technological spirit, and entrepreneurial performance.
The collaboration of Rheon Medical and Coat-X, who played a central role in the product development, was applauded by the industry and ESGTI is proud to be investing in further development of this technology as part of their Life Science pillar.
